The Strictly Come Dancing Band, in its current incarnation, was formed by David Arch when in 2006 he was asked to take over from the great Laurie Holloway, as Musical Director for series 4 of BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing. Now working on series 6, the current personnel are made up of some of Britain’s finest session musicians with collective CVs reading like a who’s who of the music business. In the Spring of 2008 the band was approached by Dominic Walker at BBC Worldwide, regarding the possibility of recording an album for Universal. Read more on Last.fm
